CTi Controltech Company History

Art von Wronksi and Allan Zensius, both of whom had extensive burner/boiler and industrial controls experience, founded CTi Controltech in 1976. Together they built CTi to a regionally recognized leadership position in the combustion controls industry. Sadly, Art and Allan passed away in 2000 and 2001 respectively.

In May on 2002 George Constas purchased CTi. He has 30 years of experience in the process control industry, with focus in technical sales and later company ownership (manufacturer’s rep).

Today CTi’s expertise has expanded beyond burner management and combustion control into other areas of process control in industries such as; Refining, Power (including renewable such as Geothermal and Solar), Food, Specialty Chemicals, Mining, Semi-conductor, and OEMs.

The company has 10 employees consisting of engineers, technicians, and sales/support personnel. Our facility is strategically based in San Ramon, CA.

2008 showed continued positive growth for CTi with the addition of the entire John Zink product line. The JZ family of products includes: Coen, TODD industrial boiler burners, John Zink process burners, flare gas recovery system (FGRS), process flares and thermal oxidizers.
